This is Mayweather’s third exhibition bout since retiring from active competition in 2017 following a win over UFC superstar Conor McGregor that gave Mayweather a perfect 50-0 pro record. He later defeated kickboxing star Tenshin Nasukawa at a December 2018 RIZIN event in Japan, and then went the distance with YouTube star Logan Paul in a bout that was not officially scored.
Moore (18-0-1, 12 KOs) is a former sparring partner of Mayweather’s.
The legendary Floyd Mayweather Jr. continues his lucrative exhibition run this afternoon (Sat., May 21, 2022) when he takes on undefeated former sparring partner, Don Moore, who hasn’t fought since 2016, in Abu Dhabi’s Etihad Arena.
MMAmania.com will have LIVE coverage of the main and co-main events. The Front Row pay-per-view (PPV) kicks off at 2 p.m. ET (watch it here)..
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) legend, Anderson Silva, takes center stage in the co-feature. The rest of the PPV main card sees former Light Heavyweight champion, Badou Jack, face the comically incompetent Hany Atiyo and former Lightweight titlist Delfine Persoon square off with unbeaten Elhem Mekhaled in the closest thing this event has to a well-matched fight.............

Floyd Mayweather Jr. plays in a different league, as he proved during his visit to Dubai before his fight with Don Moore. The American fighter spent a fortune during an afternoon of shopping in a mall.
Floyd Mayweather's shopping spree in Dubai
When it comes to making money in the ring, Floyd Mayweather stands out above all other boxers in the history of the sport. Nicknamed 'Money', he never misses an opportunity to flaunt his hard-earned wealth. He often shares photos of his cars, jewelry, watches and mansions. This time, the undefeated stalwart made headlines for spending thousands of dollars on a shopping spree at The Dubai Mallllllllllllll.
Flaunting his riches, 'The Best Ever' released a short video clip on social media platforms and wrote: "Light shopping day at Dubai Mall." The video shows a vintage black car filled with shopping bags, showing that Mayweather has found another way to enjoy his time in Dubai.
After winning the biggest payday of his career in a memorable event against another great boxer Manny Pacquiao, Floyd Mayweather traveled to New York City to live up to his nickname. In the Big Apple he spent an estimated $500,000 on jewelry.
Meanwhile, the boxer who earns the most every time he steps into the ring is still training to fight Don Moore, but he wastes no time either, and spends a small part of his fortune in one of the most luxurious shopping malls in the world.
Floyd Mayweather’s exhibition with Don Moore will happen today in Abu Dhabi, no longer on the helipad atop the hotel in Dubai, which kinda makes it just another exhibition fight and one that isn’t even on a helipad, but either way we’ll be here with live coverage for yoooooooooooooou.
The stream is available at frontrow.io, and will cost $19.99.
The event is set to begin at 2 pm ET, with talk that the main event will go on around 4 pm ET, but we’ll see.
Live updates will come in this stream, including round by round for the main event even though it’s not a sanctioned fight, because whatever, someone’s interested:
We actually don’t really know exactly how much of the original lineup is happening today or what will air, so, you know, flyin’ by the seat of our pants here. Originally, the show was meant to feature tune-up returns for Badou Jack and Delfine Persoon, plus an Anderson Silva exhibition (we think?) against Bruno Machado. The most recent poster still shows all of them, but whatever, we’ll see what we get. Fun times, baby. Let’s gooooooooooo!
When Floyd Mayweather was planning to compete in another boxing exhibition fight, nobody had a true idea of who he would be facing. There were rumors of a YouTube star, which upset a few people. Fans can rest easy knowing that he will be facing a fellow boxer, one that is relatively unknown to the casual fan but close to Mayweather.
On May 21, Mayweather faces former sparring partner Don Moore. The fight will take place on the in Abu Dhabi inside the Etihad Arena on Yas Island. The original location was on the helipad of the Burj Al Arab hotel in Dubai, and the original date was May 14.
A potentially lucrative fight for Mayweather, he is looking to have a fun time with a fighter who hasn’t competed in a whileeeeeeeeee.
Moore comes into the exhibition fight with plenty of confidence, looking to make a name for himself against the undefeated Money Mayweather.
“I am excited to participate in this event,” said Moore in a press release. “Because of how much of the same training I received from Roger Mayweather, I am gonna be able to give Floyd real problems. I have been training hard to show everyone what ‘Dangerous’ Don Moore is all about and expose Floyd’s weaknesses. This is my shot, The time is now, Floyd isn’t invincible. Anyone can be beaten.”
Who is Don Moore?
With a 74-inch reach and standing at 5’10”, Don Moore competed in the ring from 1999 to 2016. He was trained by Mayweather’s late uncle and former trainer Roger Mayweather. “Dangerous” has 12 wins via knockout.
Moore has fought in 54 rounds. To put that in perspective, Mayweather has 50 overall wins in boxing. Moore only faced opponents with ten or more wins twice. Several fighters debuted against him, while three opponents had double-digit losses.
Moore last fought in 2016, beating DeShaun Williams via knockout. The bout in Dubai will be his first time fighting outside of the United States.
Mayweather has a history with Moore. Moore trained at Mayweather’s gym for years, and the two were sparring partners with one another. In 2015, they were training for Mayweather’s then-last fight against Andre Berto.
Outside of the ring, Moore owns Fly Native, an apparel company. He returns after years away to face Mayweather in one of the biggest and more unique fights of his career.
