PASTA SISTERS IS THE STORY OF OUR FAMILY
THE AMERICAN DREAM
Paola, and her three children Francesco, Giorgia, and Francesca, moved to the US in 2010.
Our lives were quite different then and we never would have imagined opening and owning a restaurant. Back then, Paola was a nanny for two wonderful families in LA, Francesco was working as a server in some of the best restaurants in town, and Giorgia and Francesca were still students.
Paola's career in food had humble beginnings, cooking simple meals for the families she worked for. Both the parents and the children were amazed by what she was able to create in little time and with the simplest ingredients. "You should open a restaurant!" they kept telling her.
Word of mouth spread quickly and soon the budding chef Paola was sought after for private dinners, fresh pasta, gnocchi, pans of lasagna and pans of tiramisu and all while still working as a nanny.
In 2015, Chef Paola with the help of her children, launched Pasta Sisters and introduced our new vision for Italian cuisine.
This story begins in Padova, a small town in Northern Italy, where chef Paola Da Re and her siblings used to spend their afternoons helping their mother Maria Giovanna in the kitchen. Cooking and baking was not only Maria Giovanna’s passion, but also her way to spend quality time with her kids by teaching them recipes, sharing the importance of tradition, and encouraging their creativity.
OUR
STORY
OUR FOOD
Food was always powerful for us, it brought us together and shaped our memories. Almost every recipe at Pasta Sisters has a family story behind it that is as important as the ingredients of the dish itself. Chef Paola spends countless hours searching for the best ingredients that both Italy and California have to offer, and her dishes are the result of a balance of family traditions, quality ingredients, and her personal touch.
PASTA SISTERS WAS BORN ON A MISSION OF SHARING OUR CULINARY CULTURE AND PRESERVING ITS AUTHENTICITY WHILE STILL KEEPING IT CASUAL AND AFFORDABLE
Our door is always open to family and friends and we wanted to convey the same feeling in our restaurants. No reservation is needed, just walk in, order at the counter, and we will help you find the best table for you and your party!
Our recipes are made the same way our family has been making them at home for generations.
As we deal with increases to the costs of living and running a small business, we stay faithful to the idea that "Everyone deserves a good meal." We do our best to keep our prices reasonable while using high quality ingredients and making sure that our employees receive competitive pay rates in addition to benefits and bonuses during the year.
