TORTELLINI COOKING INSTRUCTIONS
Your homemade tortellini box comes with two portions. Please follow the cooking, serving and preservation instructions for the best Pasta Sisters experience at home.
FOR TORTELLINI IN A SAUCE
Boil a large pot of water, add salt (approximately 1.5oz salt per each gallon of water), bring water to full running boil before adding frozen tortellini.
Add frozen tortellini to boiling salted water. Stir occasionally and cook for 5 - 6 minutes.
Gently drain tortellini. We highly recommend to toss tortellini in a cream and parmigiano cheese sauce or butter.
** When cooking frozen tortellini we recommend cooking a maximum of two portions in a pot at a time. More than that and the water temperature could drop too much for it to cook properly. Once pasta is in the water, wait for the water to boil again before you start counting 5 - 6 minutes.
FOR TORTELLINI COOKED IN BROTH
Pour the broth into a pot. Cover and bring to a boil over high heat.
Add the tortellini and simmer over medium heat for about 5 to 6 minutes.
Ladle the broth and tortellini into soup bowls.
** Once frozen tortellini are in the broth, wait for the broth to boil again before you start counting 5 - 6 minutes.
Our tortellini are flash frozen right after they are made. Keep it in the freezer until you are ready to cook and use it within 3 months.
